On the fundamental side Carnival is looking at $4.4 Billion operational costs per year just to keep the fleet maintained. Other cruise-ship companies are in similar dire straits. There is no sign at all at this time when they may even be re-opened for business (even partially). At last count only 4 cruise companies were operating some very limited services.
One of the big problems for all cruise company's running 'boats', is their ventilation systems. This apparently cannot be altered easily to strain out viruses or prevent their spread.
I suspect there is more downside for loads of cruise companies over the next 6 months.
