VOLD Indicator

SPDR S&P 500 ETF TRUSTArca

詳細

Similar to the USI:TICK and USI:ADD, the USI:VOLD index shows the volume of the advancing stocks versus the volume of the declining stocks. Ideally, we want to see the ratio of VOLD being higher than usual. A way to see this ratio will be forthcoming. Stay tuned!

リリースノート

  • Added ratio of volume between advancing versus declining stocks in upper right side of table.
  • You can now plot the aforementioned ratio as a histogram by selecting "ratio" under the "Candle Style".
  • Added checkbox to enable/disable threshold lines in a single click It is "off" by default.
  • Other minor bug fixes.

リリースノート

Simplified the indicator to provide exactly what you're looking for in this indicator:

  1. the raw VOLD data
  2. the VOLD ratio

Added tooltips to the indicator settings and simplified the options.

リリースノート

Here's an attempt at creating a VOLD ratio for the DAX 40 index. Because of TradingView's limit of no more than 40 securities requests per script, and given that the script is already making 6 other requests, I had to exclude 6 securities from the DAX VOLD ratio, listed below. Their weight on the index is 0.7 or lower. All the other securities were gathered from the list in Wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DAX).

  1. CON.DE 0.6
  2. 1COV.DE 0.6
  3. PAH3.DE 0.6
  4. HEI.DE 0.7
  5. ENR.DE 0.7
  6. ZAL.DE 0.7

I don't see how to make it a histogram, as you have it shown, and as SMB Capital's new video demonstrated. There are only line, bar and candle options.
viewer405
@Stingky, you'll have to remove the indicator from your chart and then add it back to see the updated changes.
Stingky
@viewer405, Quitting the desktop app, removing the indicator, clearing app cache — something worked and now it's updated. Thank you! And for creating this so quickly in response to that video.

@Stingky, thank you for letting me know! I'm doing a similar feature on the TICK and ADD indicators. This is absolutely based on SMB Capital's Trend Day trading course. Please let me know if there's anything missing or something else you'd like added that you've learned from SMB. Feel free to message me directly.

Hi, how come the ratio is different for SPY, QQQ and SPDR ETF's than it is for individual stocks that I look at?
MrNasium
@OnDaSeaShore, I am seeing the same thing! does it switch between nasdaq stocks when QQQ is selected?? Ill add new comment as well as this reply

Great tool, is there a way you can add the option for indian stocks "NSE: NIFTY".
Appreciate your contribution..
viewer405
Hi @satya999, the VOLD is not calculated from scratch. It comes from the exchange. Does the NIFTY have a VOLD index? If you provide me the index I can code it in. However, because the NSE:NIFTY is composed of more than 40 different stocks, and TradingView places a limit of 40 securities requests per indicator, I won't be able to code it without a VOLD provided by the exchange.

Hello is this for the German market or can I use it for the U.S. stock market? Thanks
viewer405
Hi @Prosper5454, this is most certainly for the US market. I recently made an addition to it to accommodate the German markets, but it's missing the volume on most of their stocks.
