The strength of a stock relative to the market (SPY) is an import indicator accumulation of a stock by institutionan funds, especially during a market decline. This indicator plot the ratio of a security/SPY and plots a fast (5 period) and slow (21 period) EMA.

Hi, I am from India & I am Positional Trader. While searching more on Relative Strength, I came across this MarketRS beautiful indicator.
My query is, can I use slow EMA 18 on the chart instead of 21. I mean, if I can be early mover!!!
Will it affect on entry / exit? Or which can be the best period suitable for Indian Market? (NSE - National Stock Exchange)
Because our market open for 6:30 hrs. Not 22 or 24 hrs like US or Singapore. Many Indicators are laggard on the chart, as they are mainly design
for US market. Suggest if any.
