How about testing the following?
- Volume = Waddah Attar Explosion (WAE)
- Confirmation 2 = Absolute Strength Histogram (ASH)
- Exit = Gaussian Filter

@manicorpfx, Spot on!

in quite a few cases this strategy opens and closes the trad in the same second.
do you have any idea about this very weird behavior?
DasanC
@Shaddag, Yes I do and unfortunately it's due to a bug in the TradingView backtesting engine. I have "calc_on_every_tick" enabled, which should (in theory) use intra-bar data to recalculate the indicator values and thus make trade decisions multiple times in each bar. I don't think this is reliable and will update my new scripts accordingly.

Thanks for the excellent question!

@DasanC, Hi dasanc. First of all, thanks for publishing the script. I think the reason why your trade opens and closes almost instantly has to do with how calculates profit. It does it by ticks and you have your target = input(150, "Target TP in Points") which means 150 ticks or 15 pips. Let me know if that helps.

Thank you for an excellent script! Unfortunately, the backtesting results seems to be fake.It looks like there is a bug in trading view which leads to high/low price to be used to open some orders in case calc_on_order_fills setting is set to true, which is not possible in reality, of course. If you disable this setting you will get real result, which is worse, unfortunately. Please let me know if I'm mistaken.
DasanC
@tradingrobots, You are correct! The backtesting results aren't "fake", they're just 100% incorrect and there is a difference. I want to be firm that I'm not attempting to falsify results (like you see a lot of these FX con artists do). I've been made aware that calc_on_order_fills and calc_on_each_tick aren't working in Pinescript version 3 or version 4 and my future releases will be adjusted accordingly.

I'm also thinking that releasing a 3rd party tracking service for my forward testing could be beneficial. What do you think?
