General Dynamics Unit Gets $1.25 Billion Army Contract

General Dynamics's information technology business was awarded a $1.25 billion task order from the U.S. Army.
Under the task order, which was awarded in September, General Dynamics IT will provide information technology, communications and mission command support services to the Army in Europe and Africa.
General Dynamics IT will modernize network infrastructure, implement cybersecurity and implement AI and machine learning, the defense company said Thursday.
The task order includes a five-month base period for transition and seven option years.
