The Three Strategies

- Independent River Calculations: DS1 uses its own Smart River instance with different transparency settings optimized for 4H visualization

Component 1 - Time Key (4H Only):
- Session marker system identifying key trading times during London/New York overlap periods
- Displayed as bottom-centre table showing current session status

Component 2 - Daily SR with Trend:
- Previous Day High/Low (PDH/PDL) plotted as dynamic support/resistance lines
- ATR-based volatility bands using multi-period calculations around key daily anchor points

- Support/resistance fills between PDH/PDL and ATR levels show trend context
- Configurable lookback period for historical daily levels

Component 3 - PMWHL & ATR:
- Monthly: Previous Month High/Low extending forward as major S/R zones
- Weekly: Previous Week High/Low for intermediate-term structure
- Weekly ATR Bands: Volatility-based support/resistance using multi-period ATR calculations around key weekly anchor points
- All levels update dynamically at period close (monthly/weekly)
- Independent lookback controls for monthly vs weekly levels

Shared Smart River Calculations

Strategies 1 and 3 share underlying trend calculations to improve efficiency:
- Smart River Only displays the full visual cloud and BOS arrows
- Dx4 uses the same trend logic internally to colour its support/resistance zones
- Each strategy maintains independent settings (colours, transparency, toggles)

This shared calculation reduces code duplication and processing load while maintaining visual independence.

Important Usage Rules

CRITICAL: Only enable ONE strategy at a time. Enabling multiple strategies simultaneously will cause none to function correctly due to conflicting visual overlays and calculation priorities.

Workflow:
1. Disable current strategy (uncheck its enable box)
2. Enable desired strategy (check its enable box)
3. Refresh chart if needed
4. Verify only one strategy shows "Enable" checked in settings

Timeframe Awareness:
- Smart River Only: Works on all timeframes
- DS1: Daily and 4H only (disabled on other timeframes)
- Dx4: Daily and 4H only (Time Key only on 4H)

DS1 Daily Swing Points - Display Optimization

Changed the DS1 Daily Swing Points visualization from showing the previous 3 swing highs/lows to showing only the most recent 1 swing high/low.

What Changed:
- DS1 strategy now displays only the most recent daily swing high and swing low
- Previous behaviour showed 3 historical swing points
- All other DS1 functionality remains unchanged (PMHL, Smart River Daily, trend display)

Why This Change:
This update improves chart clarity by reducing visual clutter while maintaining the essential swing structure information needed for trading decisions. The most recent swing points are the most relevant for current market context.

User Impact:
- Daily timeframe: Will see 1 swing high/low instead of 3
- No changes to settings or toggles required
- No impact on other strategies (Smart River Only, Dx4)

Technical Note:
This change affects only the visual display count. The underlying swing point calculation logic remains unchanged - only the number of displayed historical swing points was modified.

Dx4 Strategy - Trend Change Arrows Added

Added visual trend change indicators to the Dx4 strategy. Small triangle arrows now appear directly on the 4H chart when a structural trend change is detected.

What Changed:

A bullish triangle arrow appears below the bar when Dx4 detects a break of structure to the upside, indicating a potential trend change from bearish to bullish.

A bearish triangle arrow appears above the bar when Dx4 detects a break of structure to the downside, indicating a potential trend change from bullish to bearish.

Arrows are hardcoded to display automatically when the Dx4 strategy is active on the 4H timeframe. No additional settings or toggles are required.

How It Works:

The arrows are generated by the Dx4 strategy's existing multi-swing break of structure detection system. Arrows only fire on confirmed trend CHANGES - not on every break of structure. This means an arrow will only appear when the trend direction switches from bullish to bearish or vice versa, keeping the chart clean and reducing visual noise.

User Impact:

- Dx4 strategy on 4H: Will now see green triangle arrows below bullish trend change bars and red triangle arrows above bearish trend change bars
- No new settings or inputs required - arrows are automatic
- No changes to Smart River Only or DS1 strategies
- No changes to any existing Dx4 components (Time Key, Daily SR, PMWHL)

Technical Note:

Arrows share the existing Dx4 trend detection calculations. No additional processing overhead introduced.
