BBPct FL Impulse [BackQuant]BBPct FL Impulse
Introducing BackQuant's BBPct FL Impulse — a powerful and unique trading indicator designed to detect impulse moves and exhaustion points in the market. This leading indicator combines Bollinger Band Percentage (BBPct) calculations with a for-loop system to generate clear long and short signals. Additionally, it plots support and resistance exhaustion levels directly on the chart, providing traders with a visual representation of key market levels.
The BBPct FL Impulse is designed for traders who want to anticipate price movements rather than react to lagging indicators. By utilizing the Bollinger Band Percentage, this indicator identifies moments when the price is pushing toward extremes, signaling the likelihood of impulse moves. It goes a step further by providing exhaustion levels where the market may reverse or pause, helping traders identify potential entries and exits.
Core Concept: Bollinger Band Percentage (BBPct)
The BBPct is the primary calculation driving this indicator. It measures where the price is relative to its Bollinger Bands, allowing traders to gauge overbought or oversold conditions. Bollinger Bands are a well-known tool used to define high and low points based on standard deviation from a moving average. The BBPct takes this one step further by showing how far the price is within the bands, as a percentage.
In this script, the BBPct is calculated using the closing price over a customizable BBPct Length (default set to 70) and a Multiplier that defines the width of the bands based on standard deviation. This helps detect when price pushes toward its upper or lower boundaries, indicating potential breakouts or pullbacks.
For-Loop Scoring Mechanism
The for-loop scoring system adds a layer of sophistication to this indicator. It evaluates the BBPct over a range of periods (defined by the Start and End parameters) and generates a score that measures the direction and strength of the price movement.
Long Signals: A long signal is triggered when the score surpasses the Long Threshold (default set at 40), indicating a strong bullish impulse.
Short Signals: A short signal (labeled as "Cash" in this script) is triggered when the score crosses under the Short Threshold (default set at -10), suggesting the price has lost momentum and a bearish move may be coming.
These signals are highlighted on the chart with green triangles for Long and red triangles for Cash, giving traders clear visual cues for potential buy and sell points.
Key Feature: Exhaustion Levels (Support and Resistance)
One of the standout features of this script is the automatic plotting of Exhaustion Support and Resistance Levels. These levels represent points in the market where the price is likely to exhaust its movement and potentially reverse.
Support is plotted when the price shows signs of bullish exhaustion (low price points).
Resistance is plotted when the price shows signs of bearish exhaustion (high price points).
This dynamic support and resistance system uses a custom function based on price swings, analyzing exhaustion patterns to detect significant levels. The indicator allows traders to visualize key market zones where potential reversals or slowdowns may occur, helping to refine trade entries and exits.
Customization & Visualization
This indicator comes with a range of customizable settings, giving traders full control over how the signals are generated and displayed on the chart:
Calculation Source: Choose the price data used for the BBPct calculation (default is the closing price).
BBPct Length: Set the lookback period for the BBPct calculation, adjusting how smooth or reactive the indicator is to price changes.
Multiplier: Adjust the multiplier for the Bollinger Band calculation, controlling how wide or narrow the bands are and thereby affecting sensitivity.
Thresholds for Signals: Customize the thresholds for long and short signals, allowing you to fine-tune the sensitivity to different market conditions.
Show Long and Cash Signals: Toggle the display of long and short signals on the chart.
Exhaustion Levels: Toggle the display of support and resistance levels, adjusting the length of swings and the thickness of the lines to suit your preferences.
Trading Applications
The BBPct FL Impulse indicator is a versatile tool designed to help traders identify impulse moves and exhaustion points. Some of its key applications include:
Breakout Trading: By using the BBPct to detect when price moves toward the extremes of the Bollinger Bands, traders can anticipate potential breakouts and catch the beginning of strong price moves.
Reversal Trading: The exhaustion support and resistance levels provide key areas where price may reverse, allowing reversal traders to identify potential entries as the market shows signs of exhaustion.
Trend Following: The for-loop scoring system helps quantify the strength of price moves, enabling trend-following traders to stay in winning trades as long as the impulse remains strong.
Risk Management: By providing clear support and resistance levels, the indicator helps traders manage risk more effectively by highlighting zones where price may pause or reverse, allowing for better stop-loss placement.
Final Thoughts
The BBPct FL Impulse is an advanced indicator that combines the precision of Bollinger Band Percentage calculations with the power of a for-loop scoring system and dynamic exhaustion levels. Whether you're looking to trade breakouts, reversals, or trends, this indicator offers the tools to help you make informed decisions in the market.
As always, it's important to backtest the indicator and adapt it to your specific trading style and market. No indicator is infallible, and it should be used as part of a broader trading strategy that includes sound risk management practices.
ATR Based Support and Resistance Zones [UAlgo]🔶 ATR Based Support and Resistance Indicator 🔶
The ATR Based Support and Resistance Indicator is a technical tool designed for TradingView users to analyze and visualize support and resistance levels based on the Average True Range (ATR) indicator. ATR is a widely used volatility indicator that measures the average trading range of an asset over a specified period. This indicator utilizes ATR values to dynamically calculate and display support and resistance zones on the price chart.
🔶 Indicator Settings
ATR Length: This setting allows users to specify the length of the period over which the ATR indicator is calculated. A longer period results in a smoother ATR value, providing a broader view of market volatility.
ATR Multiplier: The ATR multiplier enables users to adjust the sensitivity of the support and resistance zones. Increasing the multiplier widens the zones, while decreasing it narrows them, allowing traders to customize the indicator according to their trading preferences and market conditions.
🔶 Key Features
Trend Identification: The indicator identifies potential support and resistance zones based on the relationship between the ATR values and the price action. When the current ATR value exceeds a certain threshold determined by the ATR multiplier, it indicates a significant price movement, potentially signaling a trend reversal or continuation.
Impulse Detection: The indicator detects impulses in price movement by comparing the current ATR value with the previous value. An impulse is identified when the current ATR value is greater than or equal to the previous value, indicating a sudden surge in market volatility.
Bearish Impulse Example :
Bullish Impulse Example:
Color-Coded Impulses: Impulse candles are color-coded for easy visualization of bullish (green) and bearish (red) impulses. This feature helps traders quickly identify potential trading opportunities and market trends.
Wick Percentage Calculation: The indicator calculates the percentage of the wick length relative to the true range of each candle. Users can specify a threshold percentage, and when the wick percentage exceeds this threshold, it indicates a potential support or resistance zone.
Support and Resistance Zones: The indicator plots support and resistance zones based on the calculated wick percentage. These zones are visualized as rectangular boxes on the price chart, highlighting areas where price reversals or significant price movements are likely to occur.
Customizable Styling: Users can customize the styling of support and resistance zones, including line style, width, border color, and background color. This flexibility allows traders to adapt the indicator's visual appearance to their personal preferences and trading strategies.
🔶 Usage
Traders can utilize the ATR Based Support and Resistance Indicator in various ways :
Trend Direction Analysis: By observing the color-coded impulse candles, traders can identify the prevailing trend direction (bullish or bearish) based on the frequency and magnitude of impulses.
Entry and Exit Signals: Traders can use the detected support and resistance zones as potential entry and exit points for their trades. When price approaches these zones, it may indicate a trading opportunity or signal the need to adjust stop-loss or take-profit levels.
Confirmation Tool: The indicator serves as a confirmation tool for identifying potential reversal or continuation signals in conjunction with other technical indicators or trading strategies.
Support and Resistance Backtester [SS]Hey everyone,
Excited to release this indicator I have been working on.
I conceptualized it as an idea a while ago and had to nail down the execution part of it. I think I got it to where I am happy with it, so let me tell you about it!
What it does?
This provides the user with the ability to quantify support and resistance levels. There are plenty of back-test strategies for RSI, stochastics, MFI, any type of technical based indicator. However, in terms of day traders and many swing traders, many of the day traders I know personally do not use or rely on things like RSI, stochastics or MFI. They actually just play the support and resistance levels without attention to anything else. However, there are no tools available to these people who want to, in a way, objectively test their identified support and resistance levels.
For me personally, I use support and resistance levels that are mathematically calculated and I am always curious to see which levels:
a) Have the most touches,
b) Have provided the most support,
c) Have provided the most resistance; and,
d) Are most effective as support/resistance.
And, well, this indicator answers all four of those questions for you! It also attempts to provide some way to support and resistance traders to quantify their levels and back-test the reliability and efficacy of those levels.
How to use:
So this indicator provides a lot of functionality and I think its important to break it down part by part. We can do this as we go over the explanation of how to use it. Here is the step by step guide of how to use it, which will also provide you an opportunity to see the options and functionality.
Step 1: Input your support and resistance levels:
When we open up the settings menu, we will see the section called "Support and Resistance Levels". Here, you have the ability to input up to 5 support and resistance levels. If you have less, no problem, simply leave the S/R level as 0 and the indicator will automatically omit this from the chart and data inclusion.
Step 2: Identify your threshold value:
The threshold parameter extends the range of your support and resistance level by a desired amount. The value you input here should be the value in which you would likely stop out of your position. So, if you are willing to let the stock travel $1 past your support and resistance level, input $1 into this variable. This will extend the range for the assessment and permit the stock to travel +/- your threshold amount before it counts it as a fail or pass.
Step 3: Select your source:
The source will tell the indicator what you want to assess. If you want to assess close, it will look at where the ticker closes in relation to your support and resistance levels. If you want to see how the highs and lows behave around the S/R levels, then change the source to High or Low.
It is recommended to leave at close for optimal results and reliability however.
Step 4: Determine your lookback length:
The lookback length will be the number of candles you want the indicator to lookback to assess the support and resistance level. This is key to get your backtest results.
The recommendation is on timeframes 1 hour or less, to look back 300 candles.
On the daily, 500 candles is recommended.
Step 5: Plot your levels
You will see you have various plot settings available to you. The default settings are to plot your support and resistance levels with labels. This will look as follows:
This will plot your basic support and resistance levels for you, so you do not have to manually plot them.
However, if you want to extend the plotted support and resistance level to visually match your threshold values, you can select the "Plot Threshold Limits" option. This will extend your support and resistance areas to match the designated threshold limits.
In this case on MSFT, I have the threshold limit set at $1. When I select "Plot Threshold Limits", this is the result:
Plotting Passes and Fails:
You will notice at the bottom of the settings menu is an option to plot passes and plot fails. This will identify, via a label overlaid on the chart, where the support and resistance failures and passes resulted. I recommend only selecting one at a time as the screen can get kind of crowded with both on. here is an example on the MSFT chart:
And on the larger timeframe:
The chart
The chart displays all of the results and counts of your support and resistance results. Some things to pay attention to use the chart are:
a) The general success rate as support vs resistance
Rationale: Support levels may act as resistance more often than they do support or vice versa. Let's take a look at MSFT as an example:
The chart above shows the 334.07 level has acted as very strong support. It has been successful as support almost 82% of the time. However, as resistance, it has only been successful 33% of the time. So we could say that 334 is a strong key support level and an area we would be comfortable longing at.
b) The number of touches:
Above you will see the number of touches pointed out by the blue arrow.
Rationale: The number of touches differs from support and resistance. It counts how many times and how frequently a ticker approaches your support and/or resistance area and the duration of time spent in that area. Whereas support and resistance is determined by a candle being either above or below a s/r area, then approaching that area and then either failing or bouncing up/down, the number of touches simply assesses the time spent (in candles) around a support or resistance level. This is key to help you identify if a level has frequent touches/consolidation vs other levels and can help you filter out s/r levels that may not have a lot of touches or are infrequently touched.
Closing comments:
So this is pretty much the indicator in a nutshell. Hopefully you find it helpful and useful and enjoy it.
As always let me know your questions/comments and suggestions below.
As always I appreciate all of you who check out, try out and read about my indicators and ideas. I wish you all the safest trades and good luck!
Fractals PivotsWhich trader does not know pivots? There are a lot of varieties of pivots indicators of which some are a default on most trading platforms. So what better way to challenge yourself then to create your own kind of pivots. Let's welcome the idea of Fractal Pivots.
Williams Fractal or fractals is a technical analysis indicator introduced by the famous trader Bill Williams in his book ‘Trading Chaos’. He developed it on the basis of the Chaos Theory and trading psychology. The indicator is centred around the idea that there is repetition in price behaviour and fractals can provide an insight into those repetitive patterns.
How does the indicator turn these into pivot lines?
The user will set a time period in which the script will look for fractals. It will then remember all the fractals that happen during that time period.
Let's say you are trading the hourly chart with a weekly pivot setting like in the chart this script is published on. The script will highling the 1h fractals that are happening. Then the next week it will use these exact fractals from previous week to draw the pivot lines.
Another example here is an 8h chart. Look how it uses the previous week fractals this week.
Let me know if you find a very great fractal length+timeframe setting where the levels really get respected. I would really appreciate that.
Support and Resistance Intensity ZonesSupport and resistance are often drawn using lines. This is too simple and doesn't give a clear idea of the market sentiment at these particular levels. What is strong support and resistance? What is weak support and resistance. How can either be defined by a single price point?
Using a simple, clean and configurable solution, this indicator not only shows these support and resistance levels as zones, it also gives them a colour gradient based on their intensity.
It does this by letting you choose the pivot highs and lows within a chosen range back. Then you choose one of two options to display how these multiple pivots at the same levels look. You can either group these pivots together into 'zones', where grouped pivots are all separated by a chosen price percentage, choosing how many zones to display, the most grouped pivots being the most intense colour.
Alternatively you display the pivots by 'gradient', where the closer the pivots are together in price the more intense the colour. As pivots diverge apart, the colour weakens.
Both of these options have to be seen to realise how much more there is to support and resistance than a single line.
Pump and DumpThis indicator picks ups a particular breed of pump and dump. It requires a lot of setup for a chart to pump or dump and it typically involves breaking the parallel channel of current price action. In this case the script is looking for rare moments support and resistance is pushed to its extreme allowing price action to easily setup this move as it ducks through a very strong dynamic support and resistance band. Sensitivity can be adjusted in the settings. For slower charts like weekly or monthly you can push it all the way to extreme. For faster charts like 4hr and hourly slow it down. It's a good idea to tune it to whatever chart and timeframe you are looking at.
SR StrengthThis indicator measures the strength of support and resistance. Purple bars show SR is increasing. Blue bars show SR strength is decreasing. White bars show the peak of SR strength. The threshold of the white bars can be adjusted in the settings. These extremes happen before a boom. This indicator is also very useful for picking up reversals. Sensitivity can be adjusted to 20 or 50 to find smaller booms and pushed all the way to 1000 or more to find stronger booms.
.b dual dynamic SRThis is dual band dynamic S/R indicator
It works on longger swing than BB 20,2 band rage, and I think It works well.
even on the rapid price change, it quite woks well.
If price goes out of 1st S/R band range, 2nd S/R band shows up on the chart.
Because of large bandwidth, An area in which an actual candle is drawn may be displayed as small.
So, with some codework, I made the S/R band occupy only the area near the actual candle drawing area.
The S/R band value is calculated as a combination of donchian band, high/low, atr, etc.
and regular default setting value is fixed on the code level. you can change the color set.

Lucas Numbers - Horizontal levels█ OVERVIEW
Lucas numbers are related to the Fibonacci numbers and calculated using them as well. It is an easy formula where you'd take the golden ration to the power of n which in the case of this script that would be the revolutions. This script plots Lucas numbers as horizontal price lines. To run this script, turn your "Auto" scale off, and keep your chart on "Log" scale. it is important to keep your "Auto" scale off to be able to view your chart without distortions.
Enjoy!
EMA 730 Ribbon MTF - Support and ReistanceThe EMA 730 line is a great way to show dynamic support and resistance . Price action travels "through" this line on each timeframe. This script pulls the EMA 730 Line from multiple timeframes so a trader can visually see price action bounce between support and resistance lines. Lower bands (white lines) can be turned off using "tickbox" in settings. EMA length can also be adjusted in settings. Some charts may work better with a length of 750.
Example of EMA Bands on lower timeframe.
TestedFX SR RADAR v3 (Support & Resistance Radar)TestedFX SR Radar is unlike any other Support and Resistance indicator I have seen to date. It doesn't just show you recent important pivots. Everyone with eyes can see those levels lol. You need an edge on the market. You need to know the levels AHEAD OF TIME. Trading is about having MORE and BETTER information than everyone else. Notice how the levels start BEFORE price touches those levels!!
How does TestedFX SR Radar do this?? Glad you asked.
Just like real radar, it searches within 5 ATR of the current price for strong pivots thousands of bars previous major pivots. But that is just the start. Then when a level is respected with a wick rejection a upvote is cast. When the level is busted a downvote is cast. The shading levels are based on the levels POWER as scored by the market voting on it. (Notice the purple dots at then end of the wicks that hit the level) Using this novel technique high probability pivot points are calculated IN ADVANCE so you know the important levels ahead of time.
Darker levels and multiple lines grouped together show strong S/R levels.
You can use this in combination with your favorite strategy. However, it was built to go with one of our private indicators. Typically good practice on TV is to include all functionality in one indicator. We tried to do that with this indicator but we couldn't because it uses too much CPU power. As it is if you change the SR Radar settings you will get "Script takes too long to execute" type errors. If that happens try hiding and showing the indicator again. If that doesn't work then reset your settings back to standard settings. The upside is that we are releasing this free to our tradingview friends.
I love this community and it is great to be able to give back. I really hope this helps you make better trading decisions. If so please let me know your experiences (good and bad) in the comments.
Sincerly,
Doug Collins

SEA S/R Tracker v1.1This indicator utilizes my favorite support and resistance tools. Theres a full compliment of moving averages set to a common default, I prefer to use two for a fast/medium ema on price action and another 2 for daily ema levels. Theres vwap shifted channels that act very well as SR and trend analysis. Functioning similar to bollinger bands with less squeeze. The location of price action relative to the bands can be very informative, remaining above the white band in the upper channel shows strong uptrend and vice versa for the lower channel. Finally theres a full set of major horizontal SR levels set to previous D/W/M high/low and a previous D open, I often use previous closes instead of highs and lows. They are excellent for short term ranges or confirming direction by closing above or below a horizontal. Please let me know your thoughts Ill be adding and improving this one over time.
PRIME - ShadoW ZoneZ with RSI LevelsIn This experimental study, we've taken RSI data, Volume Profile, and Trend analysis, combining them into one unique package that will allow a trader to analyze market trend lines and their proposed channels, trend momentum through candle color augmentation similar to "Pulse", and Visible Volume index price levels on chart for the current sequence. Below are explanations of each function within the system.
The Semafor is used to spot future multi-level Supports and Resistance zones.
It is also useful to spot HL or LL or HH or LH zones at different Depth settings.
The red zones are the extreme places where the market has a higher chance of reversing while the green zones have the lowest setting with lower chances of the market reversal
Automatic Trend Lines
The indicator takes in 2 timeframes to detect High and Low values from which to draw the trend lines of each timeframe.
As the values change with price movement, the lines are updated. They are color coded for uptrend and downtrend based on the direction of each individual line. Trend lines can be set up to color with only the default value on the configurations panel.
- Toggle on/off Color Coded
- Change Default, Uptrend, Downtrend color
- Change Line Width
- Change Line Style
- Toggle on/off Line Extensions
- Change Extended Line Width
- Change Extended Line Style
- Toggle On/Off labels for 7 data points of each timeframe
Automatic Trend Sights
This is a neat feature that may help you get a better feel for the direction the current movement is heading towards in correlation with the short or medium length timeframe trends. The sight draws a line from the middle vertical point of the trend coordinates towards the current price. They are toggled off by default but can be enabled in the configurations panel.
- Toggle on/off sight on each timeframe
- Change Width

Support & Resistance Levels, the main aim of the study. Level calculations are based on Relative Strength Index ( RSI ) threshold levels of oversold/overbought and bull/bear zones, where all threshold values are customizable through the user dialog box. Background of the levels can be colored optionally.
RSI Weighted Colored Bars and/or Mark Overbought/Oversold Bars , Bar colors can be painted to better emphasis RSI values. Darker colors when the oscillator is in oversold/overbought zones, light colors when oscillator readings are below/above the bull/bear zone respectively, and remain unchanged otherwise. Besides the colors, with “Display RSI Overbought/Oversold Price Bars” option little triangle shapes can be plotted on top or bottom of the bars when RSI is in oversold/overbought zones .

Ichimoku ++ public v0.9Description:
The intention of this script is to build/provide a kind of work station / work bench for analysing markets and especially Bitcoin . Another goal is to get maximum market information while maintaining a good chart overview. A chart overloaded with indicators is useless because it obscures the view of the chart as the most important indicator. The chart should be clear and market structure should be easy to see. In addition, some indicator signals can be activated to better assess the quality of signals from the past. The chart environment or the chart context is important for the quality of a signal.
The intention of this script is not to teach someone how to trade or how to use these Indicators but to provide a tool to analyse markets better and to help to draw conclusions of market behaviour in a higher quality.
A general advise:
Use the included indicators and signals in a confluent way to get stoploss, buy and sell entry points. SR clusters can be identified for use in conjunction with fractals as entry and exit pints. My other scripts can also help. Prefer 4 hours, daily and a longer time frame. There is no "Holy Grail" :).
If someone is new to trading you should learn about the indicators first. Definitely learn about Ichimoku Cloud Indicator.
Integrated indicators are:
Ichimoku Cloud and signals
Parabolic SAR and signal

You can turn it off or on from the menu.
I'm not licensing because "fractal support and resistances" are not my own codes.
The rest are my own products.

Storm Trading System This script is inspired by the following :
Fractal Dow RSI Support and Resistance ;
Moving Average Clouds ;
Let's start.
This command is based on a fun description of where we are.
Technical analysis methods are likened to a storm.
Clouds as moving average, risk factor as lightning,
fractals were taken as green and red rain.
In this system:
4 Exponential Moving Averages, ( EMA15, EMA30 , EMA45 , EMA60 ),
interpretation of my own work, Dow Factor RSI, as Fractal Support and Resistance,
interpretation of my own work , DVOG Risk Factor : with changeable background and bar color.
Fractal support resistance level codes do not belong to me.
So I'm not putting a license.
But the other codes are my labor.
Consider the risk factor not as a stop, but as a region of high attention.
It is a warning before hard movements.
And watch out for turbulence in the clouds :)
The regions above and below the clouds are major trend zones, which may take a long time.
Guide the fractals in these areas.
It allows you to comment on this and tons of similar things.
And you see where you are in the big trade from a different perspective.
Repaint issue :
Firstly our source is close . Repaint will only cause the following issue and solution:
There may be a time difference between countries as the dow factor depends on the indexes.
Do not use a low graph time frame in stocks.
Function : Pivots High and Low WARNING: The toil of this script is not mine . In order to avoid disrespect for work, I deleted some extensions only pure pivots , that is, only the information this script needed. I liked the fact that high and low pivots were in one function. I found this command by chance on stackoverflow. I don't know the authors and the nicknames because they are the stackoverflow nicknames. I hope it will help your adaptive periods. Finally, the length of the pivot must be at least 3 to be available. If the author reaches me, I will give his/her Tradingview name as a reference.

The signal comes from the "RailRoad" candlestick pattern breaking a support/resistance level, which typically indicates price will respect that level.
