(Advisory) responsibly I suggest waiting for the earnings results, obviously there's still a considerable amount of selling on paper. I'm initiating a blind virtual position at this precise moment for 10,000 shares long.

(Follow up) my profits are fluctuating around the $4,000 mark.

(Follow up) my losses are fluctuating around the $2,000 mark.

(Hypothesis) I'm going to hold my long position over night at the risk of a disappointing Earnings report.

(Analysis) My target price for tomorrow is roughly $162.50

(Memo) it's the first time in 4 quarters Apple will release earnings into a down swing.

EPS Results are in: $2.10, a surprise of 20 cents over the Wall Street consensus!

(Analysis) In response to the Gap-up this morning I adjusted my target price upwards to the $165 territory.

"My intentions are to complete a day trade."

(Follow up) currently my profits are fluctuating around the $35,000 mark.

(Conclusion) I liquidated my position at $164.23 making a profit of $49,600.

(Reflection) "If I held on for a minute longer I would have hit my target price, but I'm still in the face of a lot of short estimates and things were getting a little too shaky to ignore good business practice."

(Conclusion) as per my liquidation my journal entry is now complete; my final thoughts -outside of a day trade I'm confident there's plenty more upside for AAPL this quarter.
