One could look at it as a loooooooooooong type of bottoming formation. As long as this LPS holds one should be expecting a strong SOS before continuation further upwards.
And of course: If it looks like a flag, it usually is one. When/If this break upwards, things will speed up quickly.

kinda backtested both multi year downtrends. not much overhead resistances left. LFG ノート
